The Journey to Motherhood: How Can Acupuncture Help Fertility.
Parenthood is a life goal for most of us.
Fertility is not only a woman's health issues. Both men and women can experience infertility, and both men and women can take steps to improve their fertility.
A recent study in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) found that acupuncture only caused a negligible (around 1 percent) increase in pregnancy outcomes, but other research has shown that acupuncture in conjunction with other fertility treatments increases success rates by 50 percent.
Acupuncture treatments have been linked to more babies, pregnancies, natural births, and fewer miscarriages and ectopic pregnancies.
Here are some tips from AcuBay Clinic to improve your sperm quality:
Cut on processed meat; fish instead
Minimize soy
Eat more veggies
Eat less junk food; be careful with trans fats
Eat walnuts
Lose weight if you are overweight
Don't overindulge in high-fat dairy products
Here are some tips from AcuBay Clinic to improve your egg quality:
Maca herbs
Salmon; Omega-3 Fatty Acids
Figs, pomegranate, and berries
Seaweed and oysters
Eat more dark leafy greens
Avoid soy, sugar, saturated fats and alcohol
The sooner you can begin acupuncture treatment, the better. Research has shown that some treatment is better than no treatment, but acupuncture’s effectiveness increases with the number of acupuncture sessions prior to fertility treatment. Sperm and eggs both take approximately 90 days to develop. We recommend you to begin acupuncture treatment at least 3 months prior to treatment and continue throughout whatever treatment you are pursuing.
AcuBay Clinic works closely with many fertility specialists in Bay Area.
